April 2, 2026: Virtual Kickoff Meeting & Walking Tour

Facilitator: Transportation Planning Branch, City of Vancouver (Bruce Pagnucco & Liliana Quintero)

Summary: All parents were invited to this online session to review streets surrounding the school and discuss common driver/pedestrian behaviours.

Notes:

Parents identified dangerous zones:
- Crossing W. 45th Ave. at Montgomery St.
- Crossing W. 43rd Ave. at Selkirk St.
- Traffic on W. 43rd Ave. between Montgomery St. and Selkirk St.
- Crossing W. 49th Ave. at Montgomery St. and at Hudson St.
City of Vancouver discussed options including:
- Crosswalks at intersections
- Replacing "No Parking" with "3 Min Parking" signage
- Student education on pedestrian safety
